The Challenge
Kinghorn Law is a legal and financial services firm operating out of Tucson and Scottsdale, Arizona. Working in a highly regulated environment, the firm places a strong emphasis on compliance, information governance, and internal accountability. As regulations evolve, so does the need to ensure staff are receiving, accessing, and acknowledging critical internal communications and documentation. Kinghorn Law required a secure internal intranet to centralize firm knowledge, policies, and sensitive documents. Off-the-shelf solutions fell short. They lacked the level of security, role-based access control, and visibility needed to confidently manage internal information and compliance obligations. In particular, the firm needed to know not just what information was published, but who accessed it, when, and in what context. The challenge was to design a system that balanced usability with strict guardrails. One that staff would actually use, while giving leadership confidence that sensitive information was protected and compliance-related communications could be tracked and verified.
Our Solution
Intoria partnered with Kinghorn Law to design and build a custom intranet tailored specifically to their regulatory and operational needs. The system was architected around secure access, structured permissions, and clear accountability. We implemented robust role-based access controls to ensure sensitive documents were visible only to appropriate staff, while still allowing broad internal communication where required. A comprehensive document management system supported secure storage, structured organization, and controlled access to internal materials. To support compliance requirements, the intranet included tracking and reporting features that recorded user interaction with key documents and communications. This provided leadership with visibility into information dissemination and staff engagement, supporting internal compliance and governance processes. The intranet was designed with a clean, intuitive interface to encourage adoption, and was launched following the successful delivery of Kinghorn Law’s corporate website. Together, these systems provided both an external professional presence and a secure internal foundation for ongoing operations.
Results
Kinghorn Law gained a secure, purpose-built intranet that centralized internal knowledge while enforcing the safeguards required in a regulated legal and financial environment. Staff now have a single, trusted source for internal information, with access governed by clearly defined roles and responsibilities. Leadership gained confidence and visibility through compliance tracking and reporting, reducing reliance on manual follow-ups and informal confirmation processes. Sensitive information is better protected, internal communications are more consistent, and compliance obligations are easier to manage and demonstrate. For Intoria, the project reflects a recurring strength. Designing software that operates quietly but responsibly in environments where trust, security, and accountability are essential. The result is an internal system that supports both day-to-day efficiency and long-term regulatory confidence.
